The world’s best airport has just unveiled a huge 135,700sqm lifestyle hub that’s connecting all of its terminals.
Jewel at Singapore Changi Airport features hundreds of shops, restaurants, a forest and the world’s tallest indoor waterfall – all spread over ten storeys.
The huge complex is open to pre-registered members of the public for the first time for a preview today, and will officially open from April 17.

Imagine a place that’s so immersed in nature that, as you fly into its international airport, all you can see are lush green forests.
Imagine while hopping between one city to another on a commuter plane, the sea below you is so clear that you can actually spot a sting ray from the air.
That was my experience of Belize, a central American country that considers itself part of the Caribbean.

Situated off the south east coast of China, the island has a long, rich history of food that’s stitched into its culinary heritage.
While many of the settlers can trace their ancestors to Fujian province in China, Taiwan’s food offering is also strongly influenced by its period of Japanese occupation.

When I think of Provence, I always think of perfumes.
Those endless fields of lavender and historic perfumeries in Grasse certainly do a lot to fortify that image.
But after a weekend break to this beautiful part of southern France, I think that vision has been firmly replaced with good food.

Earlier this year, I decided to try skiing for the first time – and I went in hard, signing up for three separate ski trips in just a matter of weeks.
The first was to Courmayeur where, tempted by the promise of very good food in the Italian Alps, I donned a pair of skis and proceeded to slide (read fall) down the gentlest of nursery slopes in the Aosta Valley.
Next came a luxury ski trip to Andermatt in the Swiss Alps. Thanks to some excellent snow conditions and a private instructor for the day, I started to get the hang of stopping and turning, and I managed a successful glide down an actual slope for the first time.
